Introduction:
Students apply to and register with both the University of Northumbria and London Guildhall College. Tuition is taken at London Guildhall College and examinations at the University of Northumbria

Qualification you will achieve:
LLM (Commercial Law)
LLM (International Trade Law)

Awarding Body:
University of Northumbria – (Flexible Learning)

2 Years

Course Structure:

Core subjects
Foundations of commercial law
Legal method and research

Students must select 4 options. Students may not select more than two options from the B list.

The A list comprises:
Commercial Contracts
Company Law and Insolvency
Construction Law
E - Commerce Law
Employment Law
Environmental Law
Free Movement of Goods and Persons
Intellectual Property Law
Human Resources/Marketing

The B list comprises:
Carriage of Goods by Sea
Competition Law
International Dispute Resolution
Law of International Trade
Marine Insurance
WTO Law

Coursework and Assessment:
Each core and optional module is assessed through the completion of a written assignment. Students are required to submit an assignment of no more than 4 ,000 words for each module. There are no examinations on this programme. Students wishing to gain an LLM must complete a dissertation of between 16,000 and 20,000 words in a related topic of their choice.

There are two intakes for this programme one in September and one in February.
